Tax cut was a sugar high. Trump squandered a month head start on cornona and is tweeting memes while the markets burn. They are as much a product of emotion as any construct of man. They sensed the bullshit and flailing and reacted accordingly. They already burned the parachute. Enjoy the freefall.

He signed the budget busting tax cuts that flooded markets with hot money chasing returns that weren't there in the first place. It's the same thing that happened with the Bush taxcuts & the housing bubble. It's just a different credit bubble. Our politicized FRB has extended & pretended that the business cycle no longer exists for as long as they could until they have no effective options left to play. Now he tweeted that it's all about the oil, even though that hadn't happened until after the markets were already in turmoil over the coronavirus.

The GOP always drives the economy like they stole it, which apparently they have, again.
wtf

How about stuck to your two or three sentence replies. You get sidetracked too easily and produce nothing but word salad.

"Cause" is a binary option. It's like saying "this one thing is why health care is so high!". Enabled and was a catalyst for worsening is more apt.

Robbing people's requirement account was not the cause in the housing collapse.

You support a retard who completely botched any response that could have improved the situation. I’m laughing while the economy burns and there is no way for the retard to recover because he burned all his options and blew up the deficit already. Enjoy his wrecked chances of re-election!

I really wish you'd post honestly and cut to the only real point you care about, that you think taxes for the rich are too low. It's very tiring to watch you pretend to care about the other stuff you posted.

He can't. He's Shumer's mouthpiece. It's his nature. Spread the fear.

How about you. Can you provide what Trump could've done to prevent the market correction? Show us your intelligence on the subject.

I wasn’t talking about the market correction, I was talking about the coronavirus response. If you can’t see how obviously botched the response is so far and how that plays into markets shitting the bed then I don’t know how to help you. Some people can tolerate more incompetence than others I suppose.

Personally I think incompetent government is exactly what America voted for, so bring it on. Let’s see how bad it can get. Step 1 is Trump should continue telling people to go to work if they feel sick. I sure will!

Funny how you didn't dispute what I actually said.

Psst.. your trolling is pathetic and obvious.

Maybe you should try doing something else besides putting words in people's mouths?

Ok well...I wasn't. This thread is about the market. There are several threads about the virus itself. This isn't over of them.

PS protip: Trump's response or lack thereof has nothing to do with the correction.

I suppose he could have done something else besides calling it a hoax and a conspiracy theory. Or perhaps he could have displayed some actual leadership qualities besides pandering to his loyal base by calling all other Americans 'human scum,' who 'want millions of Americans to die,' or something else like that as he did and always does.

You see, that's YOUR echo chamber. You freaked out because the last President wore a tan suit, but now ignore how the current President on a daily basis insults, namecalls, falsely accuses, and attacks every single American who isn't one of his devoted supporters.

Yep he does. And it's despicable. Has nothing to do with the topic though.
