That's like blaming Clinton for this last recession we had. Well ... that's another story.

There's still not enough of an overall increase to call it a "bush effect." Imho, it won't be til a year from now... after the election, before the economy and markets really start to show some big gains.

They don't control it but policy can definitely affect change. I'm sure bush's taxcuts have helped it - though the final effects of that remain to be seen long term.

If this is the case then it is Regan & Bush Sr. who should get credit for the good economy during Clinton's term.
