Need to expand your shopping list and go test drive some cars.

Camry just looks awkward and is an appliance with no feel.

Altima - sportier looks and has personality. Suspension is much more firm than the floaty Camry.

I'd have a look at the Saturn Aura XR, Malibu LTZ, Sonata Limited (budget friendly), and Ford Fusion/Mercury Milan.

I would not be caught dead in an Accord Sedan - the looks are just way too off putting to me.

I can vouch for the Fusion being quite good, particularly the '10+ with the 2.5L motor. They increased power, reduced noise, and increased fuel economy to a pretty impressive balance for a car of the size/practicality. It drives really well also.

This is an appliance purchase. We're looking for a reliable, comfortable sedan that has some "get up & go" when needed, will last us awhile, and isn't bu-fugly. We're not going to be throwing this car around a track or slaloming down a mountainside. This will be a daily driver with the occasional road trip.

Have you been in the Camry? They are almost frightening to drive - there is next to zero feedback. Buddy of mine has one and I was nice enough to be his DD one night and that car is such a numb experience. I felt like I was going to lose it taking a highway exit at 30mph that I usually take at 50 (posted ramp speed is 45).
