Yes, RH will make it's own partitions. It will automatically do this for you as part of the installation process. If you have an existing Windows partition that takes up the whole drive, you might want to resize it with something like Partition Magic first, then install RH, and it will setup its own partitions in the empty space.Originally posted by: GtPrOjEcTX

never heard of BT til after reading this thread. since it sucks up all the download and upload bandwidth, that now explains why when my roommate downloads anime with BT, the bandwidth left over on our dsl line boggs down to 23kps or less going to my computer. i've been trying to figure out how to limit his bandwidth and leave some for me.
also, what else is availabe through BT besides anime?
Redhat, as well as a lot of newer linux distros, does a surprising amount of autodetection and autoconfiguration. I remember back in the day when... well, it wasn't pretty, I'll leave it at that.Originally posted by: GtPrOjEcTX
figured that out....
man I'm so used to windows autodecting everything.
and my network card isn't on their list of eithernet cards either...so what's that mean? I'm screwed? no internet from redhat?
