I've found a couple of videos with 30fps at 1280x720 resolution, and while this fits my screen perfectly, my aging computer just can't seem to keep up with the bandwidth. The framerate drops to about 0.5fps (audio stays normal). Using WMP's Play Speed to half-speed almost alleviates the dropouts, but obviously this isn't a proper solution.
Are there any free programs or utilities I can use to compress these videos (WMV) to half size, or half framerate, or something to allow my computer to keep up?
