Dozen roses at Costco for $13.99

At the Costco here (Cranberry Twp, PA) they have bouquets of one dozen roses for $13.99. This is the best deal I have seen on them. They looked very fresh and everything. They had white, pink, and red ones...possibly some others.

They aren't long stem though. Some superficial girls prefer long stem roses.

I just saw them and checked to see if they looked dead...didn't even occour to me to see if they were long stem or sweetheart (or whatever the other ones are) They have longish stems, but they are not the real long stems. None the less...real good price for non-mail order ones around Valentines Day.

BTW, this is the regular every day price at Costco for roses.

but you can pretty much guarantee the roses to be fresh on Sunday and Monday....and expect a lot of nervous guys grabbing for bunches.

My friend who works at costco in Issaquah, WA says they'll have all checkout counters manned from 4pm-7pm Monday....expecting a lot of guys buying a single item....a dozen roses.

Actually, the flowers at Home Depot are a better quality and in some locations cheaper.

Last year,,,, a week before Valentines Day. Costco changed their price from 2 DOZ for X.XX Price, to 1 DOZ for X.XX price. I was going to pay attention this year, and see if they raised the price significantly before Valentines Day.

I've also had really good luck with Sam's Clubs. Haven't checked around Valentine's time, but during the rest of the year their flowers are very nice and a whole lot cheaper than the supermarkets.

Excellent price. I have been buying flowers from Costco for my wife for years. Quality is excellent at a terriffic price. Better pick em up early.....they are usually almost out by the end fo the work day on Valentines day.

Exactly. $54 for the gf, and maybe I can pick these up for my mom. Just because the "Hot Deals" forum is accessible through a computer, it doesn't mean that everyone is a stingy nerd; just some honest people looking to save some money instead of spending > $100 on roses for the special people in our lives.
