Not sure if this has been mentioned, but there is a new version out - 4.33a. Its suppose to be 20% faster.

From the changelog:

- - - [4.33a] - - -

Version 4.33 had a problem where sometimes only every 2nd queued result was done if you manually write a batch of them for it to do. Also in that distribution, manualsend.exe ignored your FTP passive-mode preference in config.txt. Those things are now fixed. There is also the facility to substitute another commandline call for the default Windows FTP program that Muon1 uses, in case you prefer another method of sending results.

Oh, and did I mention 'speed optimisations'? You may find this version of the program runs about 20% faster than previous ones, as I've improved some of the code. On the other hand, you might not notice it.

---------------------

I got it this weekend, and its working fine on my fleet.

Edit: Here is the link for 4.33a

Will this make our current results void? I'd like to upgrade, but keep my current results.

Thanks for letting us know!

Thanks for the stats D347h

Actaeon

The way I upgraded was run the manualsend.bat file to send what results I had, and then did the upgrade. I then created a new folder, extracted the 4.33a.zip to it and copied over these files from the old directory: results.dat, user.txt and sendlog.log There is a readme in the 4.33a.zip that kinda explain this.

I made changes to the new config.txt file that was extracted to whatever I had made before, on the old version. I didn't copy over the old config file.

If anyone else has a different way, let us know... I could be doing it the long way

Thx for the info..trying this out now

From the Readme:

When extracting a new version, it is highly recommended to use a clean directory. However, certain files are normally OK to transfer across - these are:

results.dat Archived results
results.txt Unsent results
config.txt Configuration settings
user.txt Username identification
sendlog.log Log of servers used to send results

I'm seeing a38% increase in speed with the new client. That may be due to running 2 threads using HT.

Put 2 P4C 2.8s and a dual Xeon 2.4 on DPAD moments ago. Will put P4P (Prescott Core) 2.8 on late next week. As fast as the P4P benchmarks arithmetic and floating point ops it should really scream at this.

OK, what's up with a "quarantined result"? The client queued the result and says "running quarantined result 4 of 5 times".:frown:

That means it found an result that was higher then any other in results.dat file, and its going to double-check it five times. So it running normal
