My drop is partly due to me moving some machines over to SB, but mostly due to the electricity shortage in our sucky country and power being shut off and router to other places.. power was down for 7.5 hours today. It's on for a couple of hours and then down for 2.5 hours.. man I just don't know how the hell a country can be run like this.. and get this.. they hope these long outages will end by april and then only a couple of hours downtime a week till after 2010. It's like living in the darkl ages again.. I'll say it again.. this place is going down the crapper!! :|

I've a machine at work that I'll put on Muon on behalf of the account amd.borg. [Can't install anything else on it.] Afterall, we must keep him in the #1 spot overall.
And with one machine not permanently running, I won't be climbing very fast. Better to help someone else in the team.

Only question: What to put in as a username? amd.borg or [TA]amd.borg

Considering you're in a country that can't keep power stable your output really is staggering. You must have most the machines in the country online

@amdxborg: are they rerouting the power for industrial production or is it a shortage in power generation (hydroelectricity? nuclear? coal? a fight among the utility companies?) You have my sincere sympathy - it is extremely frustrating not to have power.

Petrus, basically they can't produce enough power to supply to the current need all over the country.. BUT here's the BEST part of it all.. on the news tonight they said South Africa sells one entire powerplant worth of electricity to neighboring countries while there's a shortage right here.. so like most other things in this country.. this is just as mind boggling..

And since I'm a pc tech this is really sucky.. cause now there's much less time to go out to clients with pc problems and cause of the failing power there's a lot more pcs with problems..

And yea it makes no sense to export electricity whilst their's not enough to supplie your own country ..............unless of course they make more money from exporting it!:frown: ........or other countries are in an even more desperate need for electricity.

What are you running DPAD on?

My boss needed a temp machine setup for him for something. So I set one up in the cubicle next to me. Now that he's done with it I just left it up and threw DPAD on it, better than going back to storage.

I've also got DPAD on my moms machine, but thats only on a small percent of the time so it shows up once every couple weeks.
