(Project Rank) (Team) (Total GNodes) (GNodes yesterday)

1 AnandTech............62,165,946 164,766
2 Dutch Power Cows 56,719,893 216,592

TA is 5,446,053 GNodes ahead of DPC

DPC is gaining at approx. 55,000 GNodes everyday

In approx. 100 days it seems we will lose our number one position to DPC

Deja Vu ?

I'm working on increasing my OGR output.. I should be back up to 3 TNodes/day very soon.. buying a new system every month, pretty much dedicated to OGR..

anyone else out there helping out?

ottawanker,

I have fired up my home crackrack that was sitting idle collecting dust. Now churning out about 4.8T/day. fdiskboy has been gracious to give 10 to 15 boxes towards OGR, even though his main focus is on RC5.

If we can just reduce DPC's daily gain to say about 10T then the project may end before they can catch us.

I wish I could run out and buy a few TBirds/Durons but the tech recession in Dallas has been brutal (unemployed).

Yep, I will have have a dedicated K6-2 550 up in a few days. Not much, but should help a little with the OGR effort.

My company is moving this week, but I should have 10,000 MHz worth of machines back up when the move is complete. I was planning on 80% RC5, 20% OGR.

I'm still putting in about 3-4 T/day of ruler counting. The school herd is pretty much down for the year, but with some recent donations, will be back better than ever next year.

OGR is such a small project compared to RC5 that just a few more machines will make a big difference. If TA would just move all the K6 machines over to OGR where they are the most efficient, that would be a huge help.

I switched my home herd to OGR, 3 boxes total, and I'll have the other 15 up once i get back to work in a week's time.

I'd really hate to see the Team lose to the DPC on this one.

I have cranked my OGR-running Athlon 750 up to 1000mhz @default voltage so far and I guess I could hit 1100 with some voltage. I've also done some testing on my K6-2's and I have switched them back to the 463 client instead of the 469.

This is a good place for me to make this offer:

Currently I have a K62 500 running seti 24/7 - it produces a seti WU about once every day.
I've been told this system would do much better at OGR than seti, but seti is my choice of Team AnandTech projects.
If you have a system that would do better at seti than OGR and would like to trade then I would be happy to trade with you.
How this works:
You have a system that kinda sucks at OGR but would be great at seti.
You switch to seti using my account and I switch my K62 500 to OGR under your account.
I run my machine 24/7 so I would only be interested in trading with others who also run 24/7.
The team benefits, both in OGR and Seti. We are all in one big Team Anandtech with many projects, this is a good way to maximize our output.
Anyone interested please post here or PM me.

Just switched my celeron 875 over to ogr. Probably won't switch anything else over until I hit my 500k block goal on rc5.

keep up the nice work people!.. seems like so far just in this thread we have an extra 7 or 8 TNodes a day!

It doesn't take one person with lots of computers, it takes lots of people with one computer!

Like Wiz - I have a K6-2/450 that is doing RC5 and I had been trading with danzigrules to do OGR with it at one time. He has since sold his machine and so it's back on RC5. It's currently running NetBSD and does ~742KKeys/s for RC5 but IIRC, it could do ~3-4 Mnodes/s for OGR if anyone is interested.

Well, I just threw 2866mhz back at OGR 24/7. Was working on getting back to the 1st page on the team stats, but I would hate to see us lose 1st place a second time.

-Mike

p.s. Welcome back RC, good to see you back.

Ok, I have a k6-3 450. It has faithfully done almost 1000 seti Work units since a year ago april. Although I hate to take it off of seti, since it was my original sensor, I understand that for the good of the team it should be doing OGR.

Anyone with a PII 400 or something that does WUs faster than 19 hrs (what I get with 3.03 cli on the k6) want to trade?

Welcome back NT4Mike! Great to see you again in the forum.

artemedes-
Even a P2-350 would make a very mutually efficient trade. My P2-400 on CPU trade with Fardringle is just under 12 hours. K6-3s are a great OGR CPU

NT4Mike a very big hello to you. Tis very good to see your written word once again.

Current contributions to the OGR effort

kmmatney - 550 Mhz
Adul - many boxes
SlangNRox - 875 Mhz
NT4Mike - 3932 Mhz
fdiskboy - 3 boxes, 15 more boxes on the way

Every GNode counts. If you know of any updates that need to be added to this list please let me know.

Why the fascination with keeping DPC from removing us from the number one spot in DNet's OGR contest?

1. It is fun to be number one
2. We have already lost our number one position in RC5 to DPC, a second defeat by the same team would be very sad.
3. Competition with our competitors makes us stronger.

If any one would like to join my mini-team (MT) the 'Federation' and participate in the OGR contest I will see what I can do to get you an honary title within the Federation. Sometimes newcomers prefer to join existing MTs rather then go it alone. When I first started in the DNet contest I had a Pentium 100 and would have loved to join an existing MT, but at that time there were no mini-teams. I have absolutely no preference to whether you participate in OGR as a MT member or simply as an individual. My only concern is that we do not allow DPC to defeat us twice. The invitation to join the Federation is restricted to Team Anandtech members that are not currently in a MT.

I have sent a PM to Ray asking if we can modify his MileStone Maker (MM) script to include OGR MMs. We could include this info along with the RC5 MMs or in a separate thread. IMHO, there are a lot of MMs in Team AnandTech OGR that deserve recognition.

TNC has more then one cpu on OGR right now. I got a few that do both rc5 and ogr. I'll be switching a couple more boxes at work to OGR. We need to stick it to the dpc. I think we should also do a OGR recruiting thread.

Will add another 1066 mhz today.

Is it just me or are these some pretty big nodes these days??

NT4Mike/Adul I have updated the OGR contribution list to reflect your latest additions.

I hope everyone understands that this situation takes priority over the friendly rivalry between the Feds and the Borgs.

I expect to see more people contributing over the next few days. We will need a lot of power and our time is rather limited.

RC, I don't know where you got that information from, but it's wrong. MF's are forbidden (except for targej ofcourse!), also in OGR, so we don't megaflush.

But I can't confirm if there are any subteams who are saving, I think so (eg. for teammember-birthdays, etc etc), but there's no mass-saving planned (for OGR atleast )

Greets!

Edit: that graph is a prediction for the OGR-output of the different "top-teams" in OGR.

It's extrapolated (do you type it like that?) from the last few weeks, and calculated by data about growrates, membergrowth, retirements, etc etc.
