Digital cameras, however, have different focal lengths because the size of their image sensors vary from digicam to digicam. So, there is a slight discrepency!
Nice, big SONY CCD in there, eh?
yea all the Nikon DSLRs use SONY CCDs except the D2H which uses Nikons Labcast CCD the D2X actually uses a CMOS sensoc made by SONY
o and the conversions for DSLRs are different then P&S cameras
ALL nikon DSLRs use a DX sized sensor so the Crop factor is 1.5 on all of them, the D2X also has that nifty 2x crop mode
the Canon DSLRs have crop factors that range from 1.3x to 1.6x or none on their FF full Frame sensor
