So now that Dragon's Crown is available on PSN+ those of you with a Vita and/or PS3 I thought there may be some new players. If anyone here has trouble on the Ancient Dragon fight or any dungeon path, I still have my lv99 Elf with cleared inferno (never did Ultimate difficulty).

Anyway, if someone wants to do some chain runs let me know. Love the game.

Never played it, but will try it out. Might be something to waste time on with the Vita.

I downloaded it on my Vita, but I haven't started it yet. I actually ran out of space on my Vita (32GB card...), and I had to install the content management software on my desktop to help clear up space.

It's cross play as well so you can play with people on either platform.

I'm pretty sure it's also cross-save, which means you can play on the PS3 and switch to the Vita, or vice-versa.

That is true, I'm also running low on Vita space myself.

Just read that the level cap is now set to 255 with ultimate difficulty and there is a new end game tower called Tower of Mirages that has 10,000 floors . This wasn't in the game yet when I was playing.

Just downloaded - the sorceress has some huge knockers!!!

Yeah, that was a bit of a controversy when the game came out. I think after all of my anime watching, I've just become desensitized when it comes to things from Japan. All I end up saying is, "Oh, Japan!"

I've started playing this recently on my Vita but I guess I'm a little confused about what I should do with the items I get. Is it worth identifying everything? Are items that I get on one character usable by other characters when I start them (only have played Warrior on easy so far)? Is it worth hanging onto anything? Or should I just sell everything that my warrior can't use / isn't an upgrade?

Any items you get can be used between all your characters. Keep anything that is A or S rank for sure. You will learn as you play, what items are useable for your class and for classes you aren't going to play, do not pay to identify them. Later on you can start tossing common items away as you will have a lot of S rank gear. Starting up I kept everything C and better. Once I started playing online I only keep A rank or better, and again only if my characters could use it.

As you play you will be able to buy bags which let you have multiole sets of equipment. You can have up to 9 bags which you can set various potions, weapons, and gear into. Once you start doing infernal difficulty and maybe even on hard, you can set your bags for each dungeon. When you start doing chain runs (doing multiple dungeon paths without returning to town) you will need more bags because you are not going to be able to repair your gear. Before you start the dungeon, each player is ablr to select what item bag they will use for that dungeon. As a bonus you can add gear that gives damage and defensive bonuses depending on the dungeon. So one bag can be good against dragons and you use it when you fight the red dragon, and one might be strong vs undead which helps when you fight the reaper. With my elf I have 9 bags with two weapons per bag. One weapon is general purpose and I switch to the other for bosses.

It seems like a lot to grasp but basically keep any weapons and gear for your class that is better than what you have until you start buying bags. Then keep stuff to fill your bags and as you do more chain runs (best done online) you will get enough decent equipment to fill an entire bag with S and A rank items. This happens because the score and money multiplier goes up each time you continue your adventure and do not return to town. A good group can chain until they max the multiplier and continue this for 10+ runs and really rake in the money and gear. I think my max was 3 hours non stop and we ended up with over 100,00,000 gold since we S ranked each dungeon path multiple times.

This is an example of what your character should look like when you progress enough. This is my Elf with 9 full bags.

Those 32GB cards are nice but I still can't bring myself to spend $80 on one. Surprised nobody's figured out how to hack them yet.

Guess I'll have to take some games off that I haven't played in awhile.

I think I managed to pick one up on sale for maybe $65. Although, ... that really isn't much better, but at least it's a slightly smaller pill the swallow. I really wish that Sony would be more aggressive with the pricing. All they do is complain about the lack of sales, but if you look at the great console wars of the 90s, pricing was a huge factor in the war. Release the 64GB for maybe $50-60 (it's only available in Japan), and do $30-40 for the 32GB. It's not great, but it's a lot better.

If you price yourself out, they will not come.

The Vita's a beautiful system that should be doing way better than it is. Sony's pretty much abandoned it though.

You can pick up a 64GB one for around $90 from overseas, look around. I got one a few months ago to replace my 16GB and oh it's so nice.

Played a bit last night; was hoping to hop in with a friend right away but saw online that we needed to get about 6 or so hours in before it was unlocked.

Playing as the Elf - the game is fun but I can see it might get old quickly. Good for a beat-em-up though. Will be more fun with my buddy.

You need to complete the first 9 dungeons I believe. Then you open up online play and path B in each dungeon which has a different boss. There are two end game towers. Labrynth of Chaos with 99 levels and Tower of Mirages with about 10,000 levels. Both have tougher enemies and new loot to get as well as new end bosses.
