my parents own a bar and the one thing they always tell me is WATER DOES WONDERS.... drink it by the gallons 2day.. ur hangover is because ur body is dehydrated. If u get it hydrated (by drinking tons of water) u will most definately feel better. Coming from someone who has drinking contests with dad all the time (and tends to lose ---- LOL).

My first post of teh new year, and to start it off, I'm posting in a drunk thread... Well anyways, I got drunk last night and to prevent a hang over I not only ate some, but I also had a good amount of water before going to bed. When I woke up, I felt fine so I think a combination of eating something like bread and drinking water before going to bed is usually your best bet.

I'll remember to drink water next time.
I bought a gatorade and walked around alot. I felt alot better after eating.
I didn't have a headache, just felt like food poisoning.
But things feel great now.

fo sho'. For every glass of alcohol (I am assuming mixed drinks here), drink a glass of water. First of all, you'll pee a helluva lot, which flushes out your system, and you'll stay hydrated, which helps out with the hang over.

fo sho'. For every glass of alcohol (I am assuming mixed drinks here), drink a glass of water. First of all, you'll pee a helluva lot, which flushes out your system, and you'll stay hydrated, which helps out with the hang over.

But ifyou drink water while your trying to get drunk, you won't get drunk Gotta do that afterwards like when the effects begin to wear off right before you sleep.

gatoraide is good stuff, but I drink pedialyte and its by far the best at replenishing electrolytes in my opinion. Lots and lots of water, sleep, more water.

I honestly hope ur joking on this one... I just spoke to a medical specialist (to find out the facts) and this is what they said.... It can be, but most likely isnt(wasnt).

That to determine alcohol poisoning is based this way:

1. 
   Weight
   Alcohol Intake
   Vomitting
   If passed out & vommitting
   How the pupils look (fixation)
   How the person looks overall (EDIT)

There is more taken into effect to make the decision (but umm i kinda forgot them --- LOL) but i got the most important listed above.

EDIT: In fact they said it was PROLLY just a horrible hangover and had to have them drink lots of water and rest, and eat

Drink water. Drink more water. Drink water before drinking. Drink water after drinking. Its the sure fire way not to get a hangover. You can mix any and all types of booze if you stay well hydrated.
