So whether or not they are bsing, they are doing what they said in the e-mail.

As for stackable coupons, the fine print at the bottom says only one promotional GC per customer per purchase.. does that mean we can't use it with another GC at all? (what's the diff between promotional and non-promotional)

One last question, did anyone actually get their DC shipped out? I recall reading through this long thread that someone had UPS tracking #'s or something...

Okay I talked to a CSR who was actually an 'order specialist' (Angie I believe) and this is what she told me:

Apparently, those orders that were showing &quot;ready to ship&quot; were actually about to be shipped earlier this afternoon/evening (some customers may have even received tracking numbers--one shipment might have gotten out the gate!) However, at the last minute all outgoing Dreamcasts were halted and later cards were refunded. This is all the CSR knows at this point--apparently they are being kept in the dark about what Amazon will do next (its generating a lot of office buzz over there though!) She did say that all of us who placed the order will be getting an email from Amazon.com shortly. In my opinion, this means that the deal is officially DEAD and we will not be getting $10 Dreamcasts. However, I wouldn't be surprised if Amazon.com offers us some sort of compensation to keep us happy.

well, I'm happy with a $10 gc/promo whatever. I mean, it's not two DCs, but more than I had last night, you know? I'll be able to get a CD out of it or something. No complaints here. Yeah, did any actually get one shipped?

fiftysix- I agree with your outlook man... even if it does kinda suck if we don't get the DC's, we're still getting something out of nothing. Unless there is some sort of loophole to argue with, I'm not going to great distances to argue with Amazon.com..

Theoretically, it would be even more fair if Amazon compensated us by giving us $10 for each unit that we ordered. If you ordered 10 units, you would have made a small fortune on Eb@y. It's quite unfair if they think that they can advertise these prices, then change their minds at the last minute and cancel all the orders. That's just plain wrong.

To make matters worse, promotional codes are not stackable from what I understand. A flat out gift certificate would have been far more useful and versatile. Those who didn't order, why are you so bitter about those who did? Geez, can't people be happy when others get a good deal? And for those who did order, are we planning to all roll over for Amazon? I already sent them an e-mail requesting $10 compensation for each unit I ordered rather than for the entire order. I didn't order 20 something like other people, but just enough for my family.

3. Or they give you some kind of compensation.

Yea I just got the cancel mail. I think this is just wrong because my bank account is missing 60 dollars because of amazon.com. My money is gone so I expect my product that they advertised on their MAIN page. I thought they said that they did not charge until they shipped. Well in this case I could say something like they took my money and refused to give me the product. Would you take that from a merchant on the street? If he took your money and then ran you would have his ass arrested. Why does amazon.com get away with it? If WalMart has something in the paper misadvertised and you go there they must give you the product at that price. Amazon is not different.

Ok now I'm really mad. Does anyone have amazon's number? I can't find it anywhere on the page. I just checked right now on my order and all of the dreamcasts in my pending orders went to 99 dollars a piece. I will kill amazon if they overwithdraw from my account and put me in deep with the bank. They've already taken the first order amount from me, now what?

Update: I've searched their site and they have no phone numbers and no policy on when they can or cannot charge you. What do you guys think about that?
