I have a Dremel cordless. @%@#$ batt only lasts like 15-20 min of use. And new batts cost $15. Grrr. This will be a nice "don't gotta leave the house to do the work" tool.

Thanks!

Not bad....temping....but.

9.99 + 2.95 ship + 5.95 handling = 18.89

if I can find a free shipping coupon = 15.94

if I find a magical free handling coupon also.....=9.99 and will order.

Otherwise, I'll just go get a real dremel as I know it'll work/last longer and better.

Cheetoden... do your wife and your marriage a favor... UNDER-VOLT those 120mm fans. They love it and still move a ton of air.

Dude, just take the fan out.

I've usually found Dremel tools (as well as cheap clones) to be too small & underpowered for serious work, but they still have a place in most toolboxes. The (relatively) heavy fiberglass cutoff wheels are the only way to chop up hard metals - way expensive (5 packs are usually $6), but they don't usually break unless you put 'em in a bind.

I cut a lot of sheet metal & heavier stock with a $30 Campbell-Hausfeld 3" cutoff air tool; the Dremel is good for grinding the edge smooth, or going where my air compressor doesn't.

For HFT, the free shipping coupon is usually at the back of their cataloge but for order 29.99 and up.
I haven't seen any coupon that take away the handling fee.
At HFP, tools are cheap but quality is so so but you wouldn't cry when you break or lose it.

For $10 one doesn't expect too good of quality.

I wouldn't use it to mod a case but I definitely see other uses for a cheap deal.

Actually, alot of their tools are above-average quality - not professional grade, but good enough for a farmer or a small businessman who doesn't have a lot to spend on tools that aren't mission-critical ... good enough for a weekend warrior.

Harborfreight Tools says this item is on indefinite backorder. It is a clearance item, so how can it be on backorder? Hmmmm... something fishy going on? I included it anyway in an order for other stuff; we'll see what happens.

I picked one up at a local store. The salesman had to get it from the back of the store. The cashier rang up $19.99, I showed her the print out from the web, she barely glanced at it and gave it to me at 9.99.
