Drifting away...

Quake III has become boring. I used to sit up till late hours playing it. Now it can't hold my attention for more than 20 mins. I get annoyed with it, to be honest. I remember playing Quake 2 for 12 hours at a stretch, and then being forced to abandon it and embrace Quake 3 when it came out. (My friends had GF2s and I had a TNT, so I was reluctant). Quake 2 and 3 have been the only games I've liked and played extensively. I tried the rest, and gave 'em up after 20 - 30 minutes. Now that Q3 is losing its appeal... I dont know where to turn...

Try reading a book. Or going outside. Or playing minesweeper... Q3 will be fun again soon enough.

Welcome to the forums


That happened to me with Unreal Tournament and Unreal. Best thing to do is not to play for a long while. Go do something constructive or that does not involve a computer in any way. Then just play games every once in a while.

It's Summertime, go to the beach and enjoy the sun...or the park if you're not by a beach. If you want to stay with the computer then UT 2003 should be out soon which might give you a new Q3 alternative. Deus Ex kept me glued for a month, if you've not played it then the single player game is amazing, i've not played the MP side.

Agreed. I played quake 3 for awhile, but got bored with it and stopped. Now I don't play any games even made with the quake 3 engine because they are all dumb. Look for something else to do with you life besides some pointless videogame.
