Drive Image Software

Does anyone know of any freeware based drive image software that allows the creation of boot cd/dvd's and the use of compression, similar to Ghost?

Sorry... I've never used a freeware program for that, or heard of a great, reliable one.

I'd mention Acronis True Image before Norton Ghost though. That's not freeware, but it has a trial if you want to try it.

I wish there was freeware out there comparable to Acronis True Image.

It would save me the $50 I'm about to lay down for version 9.0.

Oh well.

No need to spend $50 bucks. Newegg (www.newegg.com) has True Image 9.0 for $31.50, no tax. This is for the downloadable version only and they will e-mail the program key to you.

having used ghost personal, ghost enterprise and true image, i like true image the best

According to the developer's site, you can run DriveImage XML from a WinPE boot CD-Rom.

DriveImage XML was recently posted on nonags as a 6 duck rated freeware.
