After I reinstalled Win98SE a few months back, I decided to repartition my hard drives.
HD#1: 15GB, ATA66, Drive C: 4GB + Drive E: 11GB
HD#2: 8GB, ATA66, Drive D: 8GB
Drive C has Win98 and drivers. Drive D has MP3 and Winamp.
Drive E has games.
Unfortunately, Win98 splits HD#1 into 2 non-consecutive drive letters (C,E) while HD#2 is D. I can't change it. Or, I don't know how.
My problem is I've noticed a general system slowdown in applications from when I just had a large C (C+E now) and the small D(same).
I wanted to separate Win98 to it's own partition, so if I had re-install; it would not affect anything else. Now, I am wondering if I should have done this at all.
What are your thoughts??
Please take a look at my rig below for specs. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
