There's no blood. There are no broken bones. 122 posts? WTH?

ATOT needs to get out of the basement more. I doubt 3/4 of you have a bike or could get your fat asses 1/4 mile down the road on one....Ouch, that's a stick to the mental eye.

I run stop signs. I do not wear spandex. Have me with love.
Hey man take it easy on them, their only chance at being a man is to buy a car with the banks money and then pretend they know how to operate that vehicle by pointing out the things they don't like. Do you think any of these guys will EVER lose their virginity? Hell even if they got married it would probably be consummated by some other guy.

Cycling has made me an even better driver, cause now I look out for them more so than I use to.

Couldn't have said it any better myself. Speeding doesn't kill, but speed differential does. And what better a way to maximize speed differential than to put cars and cyclists on the same pavement. Not to mention the complete lack of any protection while on a bicycle.

The price one of these bicycles costs that cyclists use cost the same as a junk box car.
Is that broad stroke done with a wooster or a purdy?

But I do expect them to repay their student loans.

Oh, wait, that's going to be a joke too.:'(

Well, at least I haven't heard anyone call cyclists Lance Armstrong wannabes.

I don't think anyone wants to be Lance Armstrong anymore... not even Lance Armstrong. :sneaky:

This and I bitch about the ones that do stupid crap like ride 3 wide. They should be run over.

Most likely I will end up dead because of yelling at some fucking idiot for running a red light and almost hitting me, etc etc. Maybe I need to start bringing my gun. :hmm:

Some years back, had some fuck give me the "brush" and blow his horn. I had 5' on the right side of the line. (This was before our state laws changed) Called the city, county, HP....."Nothing we can do. He didn't hit you." Told them that I was going to start carrying..."Well, we wouldn't recommend it." Eff you, you aren't protecting me.

SC tag 489 DDC, pontiac parisiennne.

Amazing the useless crap my brain remembers from 15 years ago.

LOL @ all you idiots sharing your concern over cyclists. Fuck 'em.

You see, I'm a rider. My skills are incapable of being constrained by your nanny-state rules. I'm looooong gone by the time any of you fatties can claw your way out of your nine year old, off-brown Hyundai's to screech at me with the three spittle tinged school-yard expletives you remember. I can stop traffic with a stare at the same time I'm arousing your wife with my spandex enshrined glutes of peace. I ride unencumbered through intersections with a gleam in my eye, enjoying the breeze in my hair, while you nearly faint from the panic of hoping you can (unlike the decades lost control of your sphincter) still control your braking foot with what's left of your McFlurry addled brain. While you're rushing home to your children who hate you, I'm out for a ride on a bike forged by the will of God's.

This is some good reading material right here lol

I don't really understand this. There is very little chance of damage or injury to a driver from bicyclists. If you are doing everything right what is the big worry? I don't believe there are a greater rate of frivolous lawsuits from bicyclists than from any other part of life.

Probably because you seem to be assuming that I was only talking about injury to a driver and referring to frivolous lawsuits.

Most of us identify somewhat with that stupid driver's stupid rage when it comes to bicyclists in traffic.

I have no problem at all driving out to the countryside for some lemonade on a Sunday and making plenty of room for all the cyclists out there. It's all tits and sunshine. I even have a bicycle that I would ride if I didn't live in the city.

Cyclists in the city (at least my city) are all competing for the Darwin Award. The people driving automobiles here drive like clueless raging lunatics with no time for your ass, no brakes, and no insurance and they all hate bikes myself included (just paid up the insurance tho :hmm. Nobody here uses signals, they don't look, and they don't yield. At all. Rather die first.

So as a cyclist you're a moron if you insist on dangling yourself in front of these assholes every day and deserve the splattering you're going to get, and the moron bikers here will do stupid stuff to further antagonize traffic like beat on your hood "just to make sure you saw me", run red lights and fly in and out so fast cars don't have time to react. Playing with fire. I think the MVA quotes the figures at 750 cycle accidents a year here. I didn't look it up so who knows. I heard something in the news.

Bike laws and bike lanes can't protect you when you're getting scraped up and hosed off the asphalt. Stay home and stay alive.

"Hey, let's impede traffic and put ourselves in grave risk so we can make a personal statement about how much of a retarded asshats we are."

I can assure you that I assumed no such thing and that your assumption of such is wildly inaccurate.

The price one of these bicycles costs that cyclists use cost the same as a junk box car. People aren't cycling to work on a $300 Walmart bike.
There are a lot of different bike types. I've seen people riding everything from Walmart bike, to old road bike, to modern hybrids (that can cost ~$500-$800 new), to more expensive road bikes.

Regardless, the upkeep on a bike costs far less than buying gas for a car, routine maintenance, etc...

yes, and the people riding the walmart bikes are probably the old mother fuckers that can't afford cars. Why do you guys hate the poor so much.

Psst, that was sarcasm, laid on pretty thick. You're just being too much of a numb-nuts to see.

Actually, that came straight from the heart.

A heart bursting with the pure joy of peddling a bike through town as if propelled by the orgasmic gasps of angels guiding me along the gentle arc of a rainbow, all while an entangled mass of gasoline fueled stupidity rages below... :awe:

Meh if I wanna spend anywhere near $1k for a 2 wheeler I would rather get an actual motorcycle with actual roadworthiness, speed and practicality than a human powered death trap.

All it takes is for someone to mention cyclists and we get a hundred people on this board joking about killing cyclists. Explains a lot...
