In any case, if the fact that DHs benchmarks are always way out of line with everyone else's doesn't convince you they are biased, this should.

At least ATI didnt have to cheat... bunch of crooks if you ask me. I would take this card, of course if i had a better one and put some liquid nitrogen on it and freeze it. Then take a cherry bomb and light it and watch the thing blow up and inbed the pieces into the ground.

Rollo, if you gave this guy $450, what would you accomplish? I can almost guarantee that he wouldn't give the money to charity, and you'd just be stuck with another card to sell, hopefully recouping your loss but maybe not entirely. I've seen people destroy high-end televisions, cars, stereos, you name it to get publicity, and it is sickening every time, but the waste is small in the grand scheme of things. What's $450, one Department of Defense ashtray? What's Carly Fiorina's salary?

You're probably right. IMO you have to be a real tool to destroy something of value for publicity, why anyone would be amused to do that, or see it done, escapes me.

I go to Toms all the time, as well as here, Rage3d, and nVNews. I do so to learn about trends in gaming hardware, not to see "Jackass" type publicity stunts.

I DH were a decent site, they wouldn't need this. You can see the level of mentality there in the "flame" forum. There's a thread about how all the other sites are flaming them (DH) and one rocket scientist posts "F*** those people!" in inch tall red letters, copies it 60 times, and then all the other rocket scientists quote it. :roll:

I think people need to lay off Rollo about the fanboyism. He doesn't love Nvidia. He just loves Hardware. This mofo buys more video cards than anyone else I've ever seen, and they come from both sides of the fence. Actions speak louder than words. He's behind the industry, not a particular company, which is a good thing if you look at it from the consumer's point of view.

Now, the reason you see him defend Nvidia more often is probably the same reason you'll see me defend Nvidia more often - Nvidia gets slammed more these days by the stupid. People seem to think you should pick a preference and go with them - guys, support the competition. If some of us are out there playing meat shield for Nvidia or ATi, it's because other idiots won't stop ragging on them. They'd be in mighty sore shape if their company of choice was the only player left.

Does paying higher prices than we already do for top end video cards sound good to any of you? No? Then shut up with the accusations of fanboyism and misdeeds by these companies and support BOTH of them. The more they compete, the more we win.

I did.
Maybe it has been editted out, because I read that entire thread last night, & no where in there does it say they are destroying the card because it's an Nvidia card; there is a question by someone asking if it's because it's an Nvidia card, & the reply is no that's not why.
I am not trying to say that that forum isn't biased, they are, but unless it's all been editted out, it seemed to me that Rollo was stirring up stuff.
While i apologize for my "lay off the fanboysim" comment to Rollo, i've seen seen far too many of his Pro-Nvidia topics & posts to believe he isn't biased.

Myself, i have owned serveral Radeons, & my current card is a 6800 GT , which i love.

I am tired of hearing people claim they are not biased when every post they make slants them one way.
