Drivers Failing HD7850

Upgraded my GPU this weekend to an HD7850 and since then I've been experiencing intermittent driver crashes, sometimes they recover, sometimes not and a reboot is required.

System info:
i5 3570
Sapphire HD7850
Asrock Extreme 4
Corsair TX650

Everything is at stock for now, I'd been planning on OCing but until I figure out this issue those plans are on hold

GPU idles at 31-33C and 60-65 when fully loaded. Catalyst 12.6 drivers. There doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason to the crashes other then when the GPU is loaded.

Any thoughts?

I recently went from a 4890 to a 6850 and then to a 6950, all without cleaning+reinstalling 12.4 drivers. While the 4890->6850 went off without a hitch, the 6950 would often have driver errors (usually when alt-tabbing out of games, sometimes when the GPU would go from 3d clocks down to 2d clocks on account of in-game FMVs).

Uninstalling the 12.4s (like I should've done earlier) and installing 12.7 beta fixed it completely. So I don't know whether it's the new drivers which are better, or just my previous install which was messed up, but I'd say that something along these lines could help.
