HDMI port 1 = Chromecast / Raspberry pi 2
HDMI port 2 = TV/Cbl
HDMI port 3 = Blu Ray player (netflix and DVD/Blu ray disc
Before I did any chromecast/raspberry I had NO issues with any speaker, or sounds.
I was using Chromecast (direct into my Denon receiver) for HD cinema cast from my android phone. Would not play dolby digital, only stereo, and ONE front speaker, the left one, the mid range part, during bass sounds would give off a hellacious crackling sound. I figured (through research) Chromecast sometimes causes that. Few days ago I hooked up a Raspberry Pi 2 to the same HDMI port on my Denon, and installed XBMC (Kodi 14.2 Helix) and same thing. ONLY the mid speaker, and only the left of the 2 front speakers. I switched the left front to the right front, and the same speaker gives off that same vibrating crackling sound.
I switched the Rasp Pi to HDMI port 2, and then NO Sound from either front speaker. I switched Raspberry to Port 3, and same thing, no sound at all from front speakers, only the center channel one.
However, when I play any dvd, Bluray, or Netflix, or regular tv (5.1) there is NO distortion, no crackling, all speakers work flawlessly.
I have checked the set up via Denon on screen and all ports are set up identical.
Thanks for any help.
Joe
