Droid DNA on Metro PCS?

Father needs a phone for a month until work will get him one. He's been on Metro with some old LG but just last weekend they removed CDMA and he can no longer make calls with it. I have an old Verizon DNA, which apparently is a global phone. If he bought a MetroPCS micro sim, would the phone work?

Its either this DNA or he has to waste some money on a phone he'll only use for a month. I'm thinking maybe the Lumia 520 which is only 30 bucks lately.

It'll work fine (3G only though), just note that despite using SIM cards, the experience of a friend of mine with MetroPCS is that you have to go into a store and have them do the swap since they still link IMEIs to the accounts or some other nonsense...

Don't care about 3G/4G (I don't think he would notice if it were 1G). $15 is pretty lame though, would rather have the lumia 520 for $30 to fool around with.

Plus 10 for a new SIM that works on their GSM network your probably going to have to pay $25 regardless of what device you try to bring. At least that's how it worked when I switched from one of their cdma phones to a byod gsm phone last year.
