Droid X navigation

I am running a stock Droid X with 2.3.3 . Up until recently, the navigation arrow would "turn with you" and you would always be moving forward. Now the navigation view is directly looking down on the arrow and does not rotate at all (Think of the old GTA games). So if the arrow is going downward and goes left, you are really making a right turn. Is there any way to get the original view back?

I believe the view goes top-down whenever you lose GPS positioning? Maybe check the settings (when in doubt, press Menu!).

Have you tried pressing the Blue arrow button on the bottom left.

I'm pretty sure whats happening is that you "unlocked" the camera from the arrow by touching the screen and dragging it around while navigating. The camera stays in this free mode and does not care about your orientation.

The blue button should lock yourself back.

Nope the camera view is definitely locked in and I haven't found any kind of option that would be helpful by pressing menu. I travel a ton for work, so I do use the navigation a lot, so I feel pretty proficient in knowing how to use it.

Try reinstalling Google Maps or go into the App Management for Google maps and clear the data so it starts anew. Maybe there was a bugged configuration file. I do that sometimes when my apps are acting up, and they usually start to work correctly after that. If that doesn't fix it, I usually resolve to reinstall it.

Not a problem. I notice that with time, Android applications start acting funky.
