Jfyeh, that's the way it works. I bought some memory around Janurary, then I went to get some more three weeks later and the price had dropped by $40. All I can suggest to you is that you try again. You might have better luck with a different representative. Also, if you just ordered yesterday, you might be able to cancel the order all together if it hasn't shipped yet.

GagHalfrunt - I understand your attitude, but it's absolutely wrong. It's not as though the memory cost Crucial a different amount to make/advertise/distribute yesterday than today. Companies like Crucial offer price-protection (and price matching, for that matter) because it benefits THEM--they get the sale TODAY, instead of next week or next month, because people like jfyeh won't be afraid to buy. To a large company, a sale today is worth more than a sale tomorrow. It also encourages people to buy from them instead of a competitor, and brings goodwill, which is priceless. Besides, jfyeh never said he/she wanted price protection FOREVER.

jfyeh - I think you got a representative in a bad mood. Crucial offers a 30-day money back guarantee, and as far as I know they have always offered price adjustments for some period. I received a price adjustment about 3 months ago, at a savings of almost $30. After all, I could have returned the first stick at the oringinal (higher) purchase price and bought another stick at the new, lower price, which would have been more inconvenient to the company than just adjusting the price.

$ 47.22 for 256MB of DDR memory. Bought two for $ 102.00 delivered (Tax in Texas) Had to buy for my next upgrade. I'd never forgive myself if it went back to levels of six months ago.:frown:

I am running some at 157MHz 5-2-2-2 (fastest setting, CAS2) stable on an IWill KK266. It will go up to 161 if the application is not too tough.

These b@stards are going to cost me a lot of money. I really wasn't even thinking about that DDR motherboard until this stuff went down again.
Now, on top of the $100 I'll spend on the PC2100 RAM, I'm going to have to spend another $150-200 on the board I want.

I hate Crucial for dropping their prices.....but I love their RAM.

Geeze ..... I remember paying 46 bucks for PC133 128 meg generic ram just a few months ago and thought it wouldnt go lower . 150 bucks would get you 768 megs of ram ......that's nuts .

there is only one downside. I am using 815 chipset for my computer and the limitation is 512MB(and i have them all &quot;cover&quot. I feel so helpless just by looking at this price.
