I've only played with SugarSync for a little while but I'm beginning to like. It focuses on SYNC. It is continuously syncing as long as your devices are next to wifi. No dropping files or clicking on anything... If you take a picture with your smartphone, it appears on your desktop in a nano second. One cautionary note: be careful that if you delete a file on any of your system, you intend to delete it on all your systems that are SYNCED.

I am digging Sugarsync as well. For me I have it set to sync certain folders that are already under My Documents folder. I like that flexibility instead of having to move everything to my local Dropbox folder or keep 2 copies of everything. I like the sync side of Sugarsync too, where Dropbox seems more of a offline backup/sharing service to me.

i always thought dropbox should just assign specific folders instead of its 'catchall' folder it does now. i think they went for ease of use though, as dropbox is as close to dummyproof as you can get.

ill have to setup sugarsync though, maybe 4 or 5 other startup companies want to provide me free space so eventually i can get 1TB of free cloud service between 7 different clouds and subsequently tying them together with another free app that virtually combines all of my sync folders into libraries so its just like having one large paid for cloud service only without the fees

Hi,

I am using a notebook text program called MyInfo.

So that I can use the data file on two computers I have it installed in dropbox which is what the program creators suggest.

All is fine there and it work great until I have both computers using MyInfo at the same time.

When I save, it created a copy of the files with the brackets and words (Conflicted copy and date).

This means that I now have two files one for each computer so when we go to use it again I ma not sure which file to use.

Does SugarSync or any other similar program to Dropbox do this when syncing?

Thanks

oz
