Hey, does anybody know of a good way to store and organize a whole crapload of CDs without jewel cases or envelopes? I've burned so many, but I just have them laying around in giant stacks, making things impossible to find. Thanks.
Went to OD yesterday and bought 2 different cd storage cases on clearance. One 50 capacity flip cd lockable box for $2.88 and a 60 capacity indexing box for $.88. I got the last ones. These containers only hold the cd, no jewel cases. See if your store has any left.
the best way i have found is to get the plastic sheets for cds that fit in a binder. they look like the sheets that you used to put baseball cards in as a kid. they hold 4 cds per page and cost pennies per sheet
If you access your CD's every now and then, the easiest way is to just use the spindles that you bought the CD-R's on.
However, if you're like me and certain archived CD's you have you need to check pretty often, the easiest method I have is just to buy a big fat binder from Case Logic. The link above sells a Case Logic 256 binder for 49.95.
Another thing that works AWESOME is old 5.25" floppies! Just slice em open at the edge, take out the disk and punch a couple holes in it so you can put it in a 3 ring binder. heheheh, the old floppies are even felt lined to keep your cd's safe!
