What reality is there to voice? I think a majority of the people here were being honest. While, it may have been cruel, it is better than lying. If something is insulting then say so. A thinly veiled sarcastic attempt to disparage someone is no more effective than staying completely silent. If you were offended then why not say that originally? Now, if you were offended then why? It wasn't an attack on you. I don't get upset when some of the more prominent female members on this board characterize all the male members as geeks. I know that it doesn't apply to me, so it doesn't bother me. If you are a person with low self esteem, AT is not that great for you. Many people hide behind the anonymity of their keyboard and cannot be judged back.
Personally, I didn't find the girls attractive because I don't go for bar chicks. If I am interested in someone it would not be someone from a bar. A one night stand is a different thing, but even then these girls weren't my type.
As far the female population, they do a good job of not telling males the truth so don't be surprised there is a battle between both sides. I think it is a little unrealistic to blame it on males.
Thanks for an intelligent response. I wasn't offended, per say, and I don't take it as anything personal, nor does it upset me. People will say what they will. And it makes perfect sense that these girls would not be your type.
What I saw that exasperated me, is these girls being referred to as "butt ugly" and "fat ass ugly monsters" that a guy would need mega beer goggles to even come within 50 feet of. There's a big difference between not finding a girl attractive and getting that low in describing her. It wasn't even the descriptions of the girls that disturbed me though. It was the invisible standard these girls were being measured against. Their physical body types could in no way be realistically described as butt-ugly unless you were comparing them to your pr0n star or supermodel.
I'm not blaming males for their preferences, or their honesty, I just think that their standard against which they judge a woman's appearance is severely skewed.
Blame TV!
