DSL in TN?

Anyone know if there're any DSL services in TN cheaper than Bellsouth Fastaccess Lite?
I've tried dslreports.com but can't seem to get what I'm looking for from it.

Nope. Covad seems to be $45. Megapath seems to be business only.
Verizon's not available here.

I know girl who used DirecTV DSL until she moved in Sept. I think it was almost the same price and you get to say "I'm not using Bellsouth." For what it's worth, I have had Bellsouth for two years and the only outage i've experienced was due to a hurricane.

i live in nashville and used directv until they discontinued DSL service last year. i switched to snappyDSL and haven't had any problems -- they've been great. i've also heard good things about Butler Networks, which is owned and operated out of nashville. the guy (bill butler) also provides DSL to many coffee shops around town.

of course, this may not be any help if you don't live in middle tennessee...

What area of TN? You weren't very specific. I'd go for cable in TN if you live in the Memphis/Cordova/Germantown area.

mid TN = Middle Tennessee. Nashville area. This is for my parents (I have cable). They're on dial up and I'm trying to find the cheapest thing faster than dial up. BS Fastaccess Lite is $35 (if you don't have complete choice). That SnappyLite DSL is $30, but says it's only for SE Florida. brock, so do you have their $50 service? Lightning 100 advertises Butler Networks all the time. BTW, hello fellow Nashvegas AT'r.

I've got Snappy's 60 dollar plan, but I signed up with their Directv special so it's not quite so expensive. I think they should be able to provide the 50 dollar plan to anywhere in the Southeast too. Might be worth checking out Speakeasy -- I think I heard that Covad rolled out in Nashville recently.

For price, it seems like Butler is the way to go. Can't comment on their stability though...SnappyDSL has been rock solid for me so I stick around.

P.S. - Yeah, where are all of the Nashvillians on here?

As I mentioned, Bellsouth Fastaccess Lite is $35. I was wondernig if there was anything here cheaper.
