Here's the direct link

[*]$100 mail-in rebate from Dell just for getting Hi-Speed Internet thru Dell Home Systems and selecting Comcast® , SBC, Verizon, or BellSouth as your provider (where available, access and provider choices you are offered depend on the availability in your area). Scroll down for Dell rebate details. OR

[*]$75 mail-in rebate from Dell just for getting Hi-Speed Internet through Dell Home Systems. The access and provider choices you are offered depend on the availability in your area. Scroll down for Dell rebate details.

I'm not 100% sure that this will work, but if you purchase a 12-month contract, the total will take you over $400, and you should then be able to throw in a $30 off $400 stackable coupon if you have one.

For instance, Dell doesn't list any providers that qualify for the $100 rebate for me, but here's an example deal with Earthlink DSL:

* This particular provider offers free installation, downloads up to 1.5 MB

$49.95/mo, first 3 months @ $21.95 ---=====> $515.4 / 12 = $42.95/mo

Using the $30 off $400 stackable coup ---=====> $485.4 / 12 = $40.45/mo

With the $75 rebate -----=====> $410.4 / 12 = $34.20/mo

See what deals you can conjure up, because deals are going to be different depending on what providers Dell lists for you.

This deal worked out pretty well for me.

With first month free and 2nd and 3rd month at $29.95, and the Dell $100 rebate, which I called Dell to confirm, my first 12 months of service will average out to $25.33/month.

Also, when I checked for DSL service on my line using the SB site it didn't show up.

But using the Dell Home site Verizon DSL did show up on the same line. Weird.

This is hot for me, since they do have the SBC/Yahoo DSL for Los Angeles.

Cool, Thanks

I called Verizon today to see if I could get DSL service at my new residence. I was told I would need to transfer my telephone service (currently AT&T) over to Verizon in order to get DSL. Fine.

When I enter my information on the Dell site - I am not given the option for Verizon DSL and therefore I can't take advantage of this offer (or so it seems). I am wondering if it is due to the fact that my current telephone number is an AT&T number and not a Verizon number. -- any thought?

Be careful. Make sure you copy all information sent into Dell for the rebate.

They had a similar deal going about a month ago, $100 rebate for signing up with Earthlink through them. I signed up and sent in all the information Dell and Earthlink gave me (order receipt, earthlink order confirmation, and first month?s bill).

A few weeks later I received a postcard saying, I had been denied the rebate. The reason being the information I sent in didn?t show that I had ordered the service within the rebate time frame. Mind you, I sent it in a good 3 weeks before the rebate ended with the dell order confirmation and receipt.

So I called a number listed on the postcard. The CSR who answered said that I needed to call this other number. That number was for Dell?s main home customer service line, in India. That CSR gave me another number that ended up being for an ISP in Houston. The CSR who answered there stopped me half way through my explanation saying he works for an ISP in Houston and that for some reason they get about 10 to 15 calls like this a week. They had nothing to do with Dell!

Finally, I called the number on the postcard again and got a CSR with a brain. She gave me a fax number to send any additional information to, even though all the info needed was already sent in. I am still waiting to find out if and when I will get the rebate.

Two weeks ago Dell showed SBC as an option for me and I signed up. Now it does not, but my order is in queue. We will see what happens.

SBC is available at $26.95 month for Central CA.

Subtract $100.00 DELL rebate ($8.33 month) = $18.62 month for ADSL

I cancelled my Earthlink DSL and got in the Dell's deal. At first Dell didn't show SBC DSL as an option since I had earthlink DSL, it took a week for SBC to update their system to allow my phone number to qualify for SBC DSL. You can input your phone number at SBC and see what is your status.

true... you can input your number and address with sbc.com and bring up a list of available offering through them, BUT the DELL link will not (in my case) bring up anything other than comcast and directlink offerings.

Interesting. I tried yesterday to sign up via a link to SBC through BESTBUY wherein BB offers a $100 gc and the same movie/music perks, but they system wouldn't let me place the order. After spending hours talking with csr's first from BB and later from SBC and SBC-DSL, got nowhere trying to complete the BB deal. I was told that the DELL deal ended the 31st of December. I explained that the Dell site wasn't showing anything for SBC-Yahoo. Errrrrrggggg.

This looks like a good deal. I'm canceling Comcast cable and internet on Saturday 1-3-04 and getting a free DVR with Dish Network. I was thinking of dropping all the way back to dial up, now I won't have to.

LAST DAY, TODAY 1/2/04

Finally got signed up New Year's Day with Dell deal with SBC Yahoo! DSL. Note: the offer for the percs related to movie and music expired 12/31, but the $100 Dell rebate offer good through today Jan 2d.

I stopped using the link at the top of this thread and just entered the url for Dell. Then selected page link to Dell Home. Almost simultaneously, after the DellHome page loads, a pop-up window opens offering the "high speed internet service" offer. This time I was able to get the SBC Yahoo!DSL offerings to come up.

Also note: Dell also has business internet offering at Dell Business Internet Offer Best offering that came up for my brother's small office address & backline phone number was for SBC ADSL @ $29.95 for first year. It also shows a $100 Dell rebate offering. Confusion factor added is that their are what appear to be different other rebates for $80 (Home/Small Office) listed. AND these offers seem to be good through the end of January '04.

This is definately a hot deal for new customers. In the Miami area Bellsouth DSL lite is 39.95/month for 128/256. With this deal through Dell, installation and activation are free, the 1st and 3rd month are free, and there is a $100 rebate from Dell. This turns out to be $24.95/month for the first year. Pretty sweet, huh?

Btw, the Dell site reads that the offer stands until January 29, 2004.
