DTrump is the only America and States' Rights-Firster (other than Dr. Paul)

If neither Dr. Paul runs, I think I'm going to vote for Trump in the primaries. He's the only other one who would slash defense expenditures while giving a middle finger to the UN and ignoring AIPAC.

He's the only other pro-gun rights candidate and the only other one who comes close to being a States'-rights guy.

I don't agree with him on everything, but he's better than Romneycare, Socialist Authoritarian Huckabee, and New Right fiscal liberal, hawkish, anti-gun rights Islamaphobe Gingrich. Not to mention, all of those people are Christian Zionists, while Donald Trump isn't.

Hayley Barbour sucks because he supports amnesty.

Why don't the American people want America and States' Rights First?

You got a point, the man is for consideration. Though I'll wait and see what a campaign would look like, what positions on issues he takes. He'll have to convince me that there's at least some small chance in hell it's not all BS for the sake of being elected, like Obama's rhetoric was.

2008 should have reinforced that the person campaigning is not the same person holding office. Right Dems?

Trump is a wild card, and while plausible, does not immediately stand out as someone who should be supported. I guess... I'm looking for someone better?

I don't want someone who believes that a State of HI Birth Certificate lists religion and shows that Obama is Islamic when he's been informed that Religion is not listed on the birth certificate. Or that he's hired investigators in HI to disprove something that the SCOTUS has ruled on.

Wait, you don't believe Trump is Islamaphobe? Oh wait, you're a retard.

Yup, a Birther is going nowhere in the elections and if Trump actually was serious about running, he shouldn't have commented on the topic. Not smart.

Considering the fact that he wants out of the wars, I would say he's not an Islamaphobe.

And Obama is a selfhating Moslem, his father was a moslem.

I'm not, at least 3/4 of the GOP is Hamiltonian to the core. However, you can vote in the primaries in VA even if you're not registered with any party.

I don't think it was a wise idea either, but the fact that Obama hasn't released his birth certificate is mind-boggling.

This is all about ego and the Trump brand. Trump adores being interviewed as a supposed wise man. Him spouting the birther nonsense is about him keeping his face on the tube.

The chances of Trump actually running are roughly equivalent to me winning the Powerball.

lol at the OP for getting suckered in by his publicity stunts.

Ditto. Especially in politics, Don't listen to what people say, watch what they do. All Trump has ever does is run his mouth and look out for Donald. I'd sooner vote for a used car salesman.

Even as a conservative, I would vote for (current center, not left campaign) Obama long before Trump.

A Trump-Palin presidential run could make for some entertaining reality TV with many quotable moments.

420 does ignore the fiscal issue of multiple bankruptcies, and the family values issue of two divorces.

The question is, who would?

Unfortunately a lot of people.

The last survey I saw showed that 35% of Americans favor the Tea Party. That's the same number that favor socialism meaning at least 70% of the country profoundly disagrees about what direction the country should be going. With all the nasty rhetoric flying that's an explosive mix just waiting for a spark. It's not just a question of who will vote for him, but why they will vote for him what the long term fallout will be.

It's under 30% now.

The fact that he's sitting in 2nd place at the moment is a pretty sad indictment of the current GOP field.

Seriously Trump is a bigger fraud than most politicians. I heard him on the radio yesterday and it reminded me of Palin. The guy is a lightweight and a joke.

I would love for the GOP to nominate Trump. Yet another candidate headed for a slaughter.

In my heart I don't think the GOP could ever be this dumb as they've always been very rational in their presidential candidate nominations, but some small part of me holds out hope that the crazies who have taken it over somehow work their will and nominate this idiot.

So are you guys paid trolls or do you all just come here to stroke each other?

I mean seriously, Paul is probably the most honest politician that's been on camera in the last 3 decades and you guys constantly throw your little plugs in like 'who would vote for him', and the inevitable resp. 'unfortunately a lot of people'. As if people are too stupid to see the manipulation you're trying to pull.

Then of course in your post the Tea Party is compared to socialists, in others I've seen posters compare them to communists. All in a vialed attempt to cause internal conflict in the those reading your worthless opinions.

I can imagine you guys internal thought process now: 'let me throw this plug into my post to try and make someone who doesn't agree with me feel like a dumbass - that way they won't vote, or maybe even switch their vote to someone I like'.

Or maybe it's more like 'the boss wouldn't think that plug was good enough...'

A good example of one nowadays. Paleocons are pretty much history, welcome to the new world order/truther/fed reserve conspiracy theorist right wing.

Just like the 1930s era conservative conspiracy assholes who rode FDR nuts every step he took, now fortified with Paulbot!
