I was ready for the digital transition 10 years ago.

I probably will go black. I just have tv tuner card in pc hooked up to my monitor. I get like 4 ota channels b/c apt is all cement walls even though i'm like 1 mile from a tower. Anything I want to watch is either hulu or torrent and for live stuff, well if it's a major sporting event I"ll go to a friend's house or just stream it.

my point for making this thread is because I keep seeing threads of people on here complaining about DTV switch. every day we delay, it costs this country money, money no one can afford. if people cant afford 40 dollar boxes that fix them for dtv, they should stop complaining and stop causing this country so much money.

Got a box a few months ago prior to moving to my new place (where I don't get cable, by choice). My mom shipped me a VHF/UHF antenna that was lying around the house and now I have a fully functioning tv ready for the transition.

I've already gotten a digital converter box for my analog television set since Christmas, and an indoor amplified antenna, so I'm well prepared for the big DTV switch.

Now that we're less than 12 hours away from D[igital]-Day, the local CW affiliate finally added one of those lame borders to 4:3 programming with their logo plastered all over the place. And I was happy that they were the only people being unintrusive when not broadcasting primetime

Does the cable have to be RG6 though? Mine is only RG59 still.

I don't think I've ever had a TV using rabbit ears. I have a Charter cable box so I'm fine anyway.
