We are setting up a custom watercooled PC to run an Iwill MPX2 with Dual MP processors.
The case consists of a completely custom acrylic case large enough to accomodate all hardware and watercooling system.
Numerous modifications will be made to just about everything!
Different techniques will be demonstrated from Drive mods to temperature monitoring.

We have noticed a particularly high interest in watercooling setups in this forum.

We have setup a worklog with lots of pictures.
They can be seen
here.

Feel free to comment or make suggestions on the project.

Curious to know what some of you hardcore PC enthusiasts think!

Looks great man. I was wondering a few things.

Are you looking to overclock? Reason I ask, is I have doubts about the cooling effieciency of your radiator setup, especially for a dually AMD rig. The rest of your watercooling setup is really nice. I think your going to hear that pump though, its a monster..... 60hz hum can get old really quick too. You might want to find a way to isolate it from the case so you don't get resonance. (A nice thick solid sponge or maybe even close-cell black foam might do it. Then again it might be quiet, I have never used that large of a pump. I think your tubing is a work of art though.

Did you mod your hard drive in a clean room? One fleck of dust on one of the heads will end up with lots of data errors. Anyway they look cool.

Keep us informed of how it runs......

Wow! that looks really sweet! Careful about that power supply, dont want to accidentally discharge a capacitor... And dont even get me started on EMI shielding.... jk

Looks like you put a phenomonal amount of work into thise, and the results shadow that. I commend you on a job well done! I am quite impressed, and that doesnt happen easily!

Thank you all for the comments.

To answer a few questions:

Warcon:
Yes. We plan to overclock of course! I don't think the radiator is an issue. This is a actually a race engine radiator
designed to cool a 600hp engine. I don't think it will be a problem. Highest performance!
The pump is bigger than alot of the pumps normally used for PC cooling. But surprisingly, it's rated at 30db! That's actually quieter than a medium-speed 80mm fan. We have not tested the pump yet so I can't confirm that as of yet. Stay tuned...
The hard drive mod was done in a clean room. Basically, it's not too hard to prevent dust from getting trapped inside. We stored the drive in a anti-static bag and did a quick swap once the actual window was mounted. An extra helping hand works quite well for this mod.

Swanny:
Thanks!

SWScorch:
We know about the PSU. hehe We expected some remarks just like that.
Thanks for the kind words.

Stay tuned...

This baby will be operational soon!
Your always welcome to visit the site for updates and discussion. The work log is updated frequently and a final project article with detailed info on parts will be posted.

Thank you all for the feedback.

It's definitely a showcase. I still think you should put the waterblock outlets at the highest point to facilitate bleeding.

Wow. That's really nice.

I've been thinking about watercooling my dual 1800 setup. It's just too hot.

Dont be fooled into thinking that something that is best for car will also be best for a computer. You did a Heck of a job on that mod though Great Work and that is ONE HUGE ARSE CASE!!

You guys have *way* too much time on your hands!

My coworkers all gathered around to say "Oh my god!" and oohhh and aahhh over your pics. The HD and the whole case got the most reponse.

The only mod they suggested you add was to add water inside the case, and have fish swimming around.

Really nice job!

Just curious, how did you paint the CD-ROM tray? Did you disassemble it, and paint it in a clean room? And how did you make sure that it still worked after painting? What kind of paint was used for it? Thanks!

It's totally disgusting to look at! It's like looking at a human body with the skin peeled away.

Nice Work Though
