I've got an Nforce3 board (MSI K8N Platinum) at the moment and want to know if when the dual cope 939 athlons come out they will work on my board, or will I need an Nforce4?
I wonder if the power requirements would be a problem for some motherboards... even the 90nm ones have a TDP of about 70 watts... so a couple of those cores will probably be above 100 watts... some of the cheaper motherboards that are around MAY not be able to handle that.

But Pentium 4's don't run on current Socket-939 boards... and I don't think the power circuitry is EXACTLY the same. When idle, processors use a lot less wattage than at load of course, even under normal loads, it's still not close to the max... now double those averages, and you MIGHT see some problems.
