What is the advantage of having Dual Lan on my Asus A7N8X DX. I just hooked up both to my Hub which is connected to a router from my DSL. Both cards have diff IP address assigned Via DHCP. Now, does that mean Im surfing the net more efficiently?
I thought it was for using two computers. Ie, you connect your DSL to port 1. Then port 2 connects to a second PC. Thus making your first PC it'self a hub?

2 nics for a home user is really good if you have high speed internet & you want to share it on your local network OR you have a local network & you want share files.
otherwise 2 nics are useless.
you could attach another comp to it, bridge the connections, and use that comp as a firewall or gateway to regulate access to the other comp or hub you attach to the second connection. Something you can't do with a hub or switch alone.

what do you mean by advantage its the same thing it doesnt mean your gonna have double the speed. The dual lan is for hooking it to another computer like a chain..... (what i've been told)
