Dual Monitor Problem

I've got a 6600gt running 2 LCDs. I'm trying to use a panoramic image as my desktop background (and having it spread out across the two displays). Horizontal span allows me to do this but then whenever I maximize a window, it spans across both screens as well. In DualView, if I maximize a window, it only takes up the whole screen that it is occupying (it doesn't span across both). So basically what I want is to use DualView but have the background image span across both screens.

Well use DualView, then use the nView properties and uncheck use multiple desktops? Does that work? If not then... I guess your option would be to crop the image into 2 images and set them each individually for the screen.

That didn't work but from within the nView properties tab I found a check box for allowing a window to span across to the second monitor. So I unchecked that box and switched to horizontal span. Thanks

You can also add extra buttons to allow things like moving a window from one monitor to another, or maximising only to that monitor even in horizontal span mode.
It's in the User Interface part of the nView properties window.
