Dual monitors. just. AWESOME

Just rigged up dual monitors, and my god, it's so good. At the mo, as they're of dif sizes (18inch and 17inch tfts) i have basically, a normal 18inch monitor, but then a 17inch block of real estate, that i can put anything on and have it run next to it. it's very, very cool. and like, the application i'm using, it remembers all my application positions, so say i launch winamp, it opens on the 17ich monitor, and plays on there, out of the way of everything. also, i've got dialog boxes set to appear on monitor 2 aswell. it's awesome. how many others here have multiple monitors? what's the most we have on one PC lol?

I've got one system here at work with dual 21" CRTs. I was going to get dual 20" LCDs but got shot down so I'm getting a single 23" instead

I also have dual monitors set up, but its a 17 and a 15. Its pretty cool, i have MSN on the 15 out of the way of everything else. I use UltraMon.

My step dad has a 2405, the whole widescreening of everything i'm not that keen on. I'm def v.happy with it like this.

okay, this is going to be a really stupid question, but for someone, like me, who has never used dual monitors how do you switch between the two? Is is just a matter of mouse movement or is there a hotkey you have to press?

They act as a single desktop space, you can mouse between them freely, drag objects between them, etc.

I run dual 21" CRT's, & would never go back to less desktop space.

My next display has to be 4MP or better to make me give them up.

I have dual monitors currently as well. Right now a 17" LCD and a 17" CRT.
I'd like to either pick up a pair of new LCDs, or one widescreen one.

Generally, it's set up so you don't switch at all, the desktop simply extends onto the second monitor. So, essentially, you simply move the mouse freely between the displays. Depending on how you have things configured, a maximized screen can take up both displays or just one, and windows may or may not be able to be half on one display and half on the other.

Edit: Dang, Viper GTS beat me to it!

Since I switched to dual monitors, I frequently feel constrained when using a computer that only has one, and I've also found that I basically never maximize windows any more, when I used to do it very frequently.
