Depends on the set up. You can have it as one large desktop, in which case, you'd simply move your mouse across from one screen to the other. Or, you can have it mirror you current desktop, for presentations or something. I also think you can have it as a "backup" desktop, whereby you could press a button or key and have the desktops "swap" places, so your active one is on your current screen. There are lots of options.

You can just drag it around. Ultramon add two more buttons to the top right corner where the close/minimize buttons are. One is to swtich between the windows, the other is to stretch it across both. But for me I have them turned off and i use a keyboard command, ctrl sft x

I was with dual 18" LCDs for awhile... having a single 24" is MUCH better. You can watch movies on a bigger screen. Game on a bigger screen. And although you get a tad less screen area, it's easier to work with. I can open 2 browsers side by side, and drag and drop things between each window. Yes, you can do so with dual screen, and it's not really any more complicated... but the convenience of staring at a screen, and seeing two pages side by side, is much better.. and working is just smoother.

I find it cool too. I don't have the room or the scratch to have it at home, but at work I have dual 17" flat panels. Since I do desktop support and handle deploying new systems, I can grab equipment for myself whenever I need to. The users get all jealous when they come in my office and see dual monitors.

Indeed man. Thats why I went with a 23" 3yrs ago. Then 4 months ago I added a 24" so now I run dual with a 24" and a 23" 3840x1200. Looks very slick if I say so myself

 I'd take two monitors over a faster computer any day.

whe u get to the right hand side of your left screen, and go slightly futher right, the mouse appears on the left hand side of your right screen. it's satisfyingly simple.

i'd say dual screens over 2405.

I've had 3 monitors before -- 2005FPW in the middle, 17" LCD on the left and 19" CRT on the right. It's a motley crew, but it is awesome. ATM, I don't have the CRT on hand, so I'm down to two, but that's...acceptable.
