Dual Nivdia 1070s (F@H)

What should my PPD be for dual 1070s? I'm checking some of the other posts here and their outputs are a lot higher then what my rid is displaying. (138k PPD thus far..)

my 970 is producing right at 300k ppd - a 1070 should produce 350-400k (each of course)

as has been said many times in many threads, check the drivers

Did you get a passkey ? and is it being used by your client ? So the 2 cards should do 1 million to 1.4 million if configured correctly.

Mine typically average 1.4M ppd for the pair, but I do have them (easily) overclocked to +150 core and +475 memory (using MSI afterburner).

Make sure both are being used, in Windows right click the notification Icon, go to advance view, go to preference, go to slots, and then "add" a new GPU slot if only one is showing. Also under preferences is where you would enter the passkey mentioned above if you don't yet have one.

All that being said and done, Folding takes a LONG time to get a good average on your points, as they have so many different tasks that can have substantially different point values associated with them. But they shouldn't be showing that low. Here is a chart (which you have probably already seen) made by Markfw, with some data we've collected.

Having a passkey and 10 WUs under your belt is critical, and the protein being folded will also affect your output. Also check your video driver and make sure it is pre-375.xx.

When you get to that link, do a manual driver search , and enter all the criteria, but select ALL for type of driver. Its like 5 down.

The last known good drivers that will work with F@H, anything newer will not work properly.
EDIT: Just download and install, they will overwrite any newer driver. You can not uninstall using windows uninstaller. If you wish to remove the old drivers use DDU

not true.. maybe just because its an older card.. but my gtx 560s are folding just fine with the 375.70 drivers.. havent tried with any thing newer yet though ...

even if you weren't on the list, if you were folding your ppd was still getting added into the total so thanks for helping!

Bump the core by 150 and the memory by 475 and you will be getting 700k+ ppd, with a very small increase in electricity usage.

Just a thought, I don't see much about people running the Titan Z. I know those are expensive cards, but with over 5200 cuda cores, I haven't seen any statistics or comparisons. Anyone running a "Z"?

Well, just a thought about that. 2 GTX980TI's have 5632 cuda cores and they cost about $300 each now, or $600 total. Not $1500 for the Titan Z

Thanks for the hotfix info StefanR5R, 376.48 works so far on a single 1070, but it's only on the 2nd task since the driver update. Later on I'll try it on a 980Ti system.

I know some users both here and at Tom's Hardware want(ed) to participate in F@H but also want(ed) to take breaks to play the newest game releases, so I feel this to be important to get tested out, and to spread the word you can (or can NOT) alternate between crunching and gaming to your heart's content.
