Dual PSU question

I got e a nice big CM Stacker and have 2 power supplies in my case.

I got that case when I still had a GTS 640MB and the 500W was enough but getting a little warm for my tastes on full load with my rig OC'd

I thought to myself why not use an extra PSU I have laying around since the case came with the adapter to do it

But my question now is how should I split the load???

right now I have the 500w powering my mobo, cpu, and drives

I have the 600w powering the GTX, all my fans, fan controller, soundcard front unit (over kill on the wattage I know....)

the only possible conflict I see is my using the 600w on the GTX and the 500w on the mobo

that leaves the GTX to draw from both power sources --- I think...

If someone with a little more knowledge about such matters could please help me out

500W is easily enough for what you have - and much more. Is there a reason you want to use 2 PSUs? You'll then have two points of failure rather than just one (like RAID0) ... why do this? Pick the most reliable of the two (or whichever you like best) and use it.

Better yet, dump both of those Ultra PSU's, get a Corsair 620 and be done with it. Using 2 PSU's for a single GPU setup is silly IMO.
