Just wondering...what happens, if you have two flatpanels hooked up to the 6600G (plan to use it for the bigger windows desktop thing...) and start gaming???
Is the game on the primary display only and win desk on the secondary?
Would there be a performance impact (cause running win stuff in display 2 and 3D in display 1)?
Experiences around here?

Thanks folks

Yes, game will run on primary display and desktop will stay on the other .... and there is no performance impact
that I have noticed .... but I had some problems with games, so I always disable secondary monitor when playing

Main problem I always encounter when gaming using dual heads is that during RTS games or games where your mouse is allowed to roam the screen freely, it can sometimes move into the other non-gaming screen (i.e. secondary monitor). This can sometimes get annoying as certain games will detect that as the mouse being at the edge of the screen and hence start spinning the camera around (e.g. Neverwinter Nights).

As Sabbathian recommended, that can easily be solved by disabling the secondary monitor when playing. Hope this helps!

I use tvtool for tv out so i set in options the point where the mouse pointer can leave my prim to sec monitor so its not gonna wander while im in a game or such.

I set to very bottom right at clock and it appears on top left corner of my tv.

For Sims2 i have to disable the 2nd monitor or the mouse keeps falling onto the other monitor, other than that no worries that i can think of

Starcraft seems to have the straying mouse problem too. Although I can at least forgive that since it's ancient and people didn't use dual monitors back then. For new games to have this problem is simply stupid.

If you have identical monitors you can set it on "clone" and have both panels showing the same thing. Although I'm not sure if that comes with a performance hit. It shouldn't though.

I can't touch the OC you did on your 6600gt. I = 555/1.06.

Edit: Saw your VGA cooler, I get it now

i have the same setup, and i like it a lot. all i do is set up my monitors for dualview. Basically one monitor is my primary desktop, with start menu, etc, and the other one is just extra work space for stuff like firefox, trillian, itunes, etc. When I load a game, it just goes off the primary display. I like it cause if I want to have, say, a strategy guide or walkthrough open on the other screen while i'm playing a game, I can, or I can check the score of the Reds game while I'm playing (if the game's not on TV). With the span mode, i think it requires more work to set up gaming, cause its natural tendency is to strech out across two screens, but i think it can be done.

Hehe...the golden sample core is really nice, maxing out @ 608...but the memory really rocks...it is not the GLH edition of the card (so still 2ns ram) but goes up to 1306, which is just awesome...I have never seen artifacts though, but the driver won't let me higher
Maybe Gainward screwed it up and it is the GLH ram (1.6ns)

<= lucky bastard But therefore my CPU won't make more than 2500...
