Duall Memory question

As you guys probaly saw in my past posts that i have a new a7n8x deluxe mobo.
I wanted to get more ram so i could utilize the dual channel support.
Right now i bought a coursair 512 meg stick of ddr400 ram
Should i get the same exact stick or it doesn't matter.

i think u have to get the same speed and size, and its best if the same brand for better compatability

you should get the same stick

btw, dont expect any big gains from dual channel

only pentuims benefit from the extra bandwidth, cause theyre are so ineffcient

Get the exact same stick if you can.

i'd say buy two sticks that have been paired and use your current stick on the other channel
(that is if it's in your budget. otherwise buy the same stick or as close as possible)

If you buy dual memory sticks, Do you need a special motherboard or will it run as supposed too in any mobo??

You'll need a mobo that support dual memory

Actually I tried my A7N8X Deluxe with and without dual channel, and dual is quite a bit faster.

yea its a little faster but there is a larger increase in bandwidth with intels cause cause they require much more
