If his "god" would truly be "judging" random people, then he shouldn't be worrying about it and shouldn't find a need to talk about it. Here's the thing. As I've said countless time before, what Phil said SHOULD NOT be a shock to anyone that watches the show. PERIOD.
That he was removed for these particular comments doesn't really make sense to me as it is in keeping with what everyone already knows about him and his family. Even though I don't subscribe to his way of thinking, I don't think he should be raked over the coals for it either.
I don't watch the show, but my father-in-law does and he is ALWAYS talking to me about it (even though I really don't care). And from what he has told me about the show, I don't think that anyone that actually watches the show would be taken aback by the comments or be in the least bit surprised.
Bottom line: the people that are likely "deeply" offended by his commentary probably don't even watch the show.

The funny thing about all this outrage is that he (and the show) are getting more attention...good or bad...than they would if his statements had been ignored.
I expect this will actually attract more viewers than it will drive away.

It's also kind of hilarious how being one of the only openly gay people here, I clearly could not give a shit less about this story or this completely insignificant person who sadly has not ever had a single unique or interesting thought of their own and chooses to live their life by a hilariously terrible collection of fiction and it's interesting to watch people who identify as straight making the loudest fuss about this.
