I saw the first minute or so, with the girl in tears and gob-smack-scared, and stopped watching. At her state of mind, pushing her off would be cruel, bordering sadistic. If you can't respect your partner's fears, you have no right to be her partner.
I can't watch the video w/ sound right now, but wouldn't you end up smacking into the cliff on the other side?
And if there's too much slack on the rope, you'd end up just falling down until the rope reaches it max length at which point you'd get a huge jerk/pull breaking your ribs, bruising stomach, etc.
Maybe the other video that shows her jump?I don't get what's fake about this. It's a rope swing, she chickened out, he pushed her. More to it than that?
I looked, he was tethered. He is an idiot, she easily could have freaked and grabbed him as he was pushing and then she could have pulled him off the cliff.
According to one of the current top comments:
To answer 2 of the most common questions that others have answered in other threads:
Q: Did she really break up with him?
A: Yes, but not for the "epic push". They broke up about 2 months later for other reasons.
Q: He was a real jerk for pushing her
A: She knew that she would lose her nerve when she got to the edge of the cliff so they agreed off camera that if she didn't jump of her own volition when she got to the edge that after 10 seconds he would push her.
Whether its true or not, I dunno.
He is an idiot, she easily could have freaked and grabbed him as he was pushing and then she could have pulled him off the cliff.
It would have been funny if she latched onto him and dragged him off with her.
LMAO @ people saying it's fake. There was a post not too long ago (and a link in that video) of the behind the scenes. This is real, there is more to this video than this one part.
Basically a bunch of guys with proper equipment who decided to go do that. I don't know why people call fake on something that is doable.
Pushing her was a bad idea though, mostly for his own safety. Out of instinct she could have grabbed onto him and dragged him down. Would have been best to just let her not go if she was really too scared. It's not for everyone.
I'd love to try that, would be so awesome.
