Where do you even go to get an Ariel Atom?

This truck probably accelerates faster than my old Civic.

YES Sgt. York

I SAW SOMEONE ELSE FROM A LONG TIME AGO TYPE WITH ALL CAPITAL LETTERS AND THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD WAY TO TYPE AND WRITE SO I STARTED DOING IT MYSELF.

NO UPPER AND LOWER CASE. JUST ONE CASE TYPE. I KNOW THAT IS A STRANGE IDEA FOR MANY PEOPLE WHO ARE ONLY FAMILIAR WITH THE MODERN COMMON ENGLISH WAY OF SPELLING THINGS.

YOU DO NOT THINK I AM YELLING BECAUSE THE LETTERS ARE CAPITALIZED RIGHT? I AM NOT JUST TO LET YOU KNOW.

Of course, since it's a Harbor Freight engine, it's probably got a lifespan of about 20 hours.

Kids, if where you live is that boring, spend the time and money on moving to a city instead. You can't get the time back, life is too short to do these silly things.

But then you spend all your time going out to the countryside and small towns in order to get out of the loud/harsh/cruel city.

You are free to make your own choices, but as far as post count, 4000-odd over almost 18 years seems reasonable to me. 10X as many over fewer years... comes with the job I suppose... been there, same situation on other forums.

BurnItDwn, no, absolutely not. No city dweller seeks to go out to bumbfvckville to escape noise or harshness so they can strap a mower engine into a truck. That's absurd, even before considering how much louder and harsher that engine is in a truck compared to what came in it. ARE YOU INSANE?

Living in the city doesn't mean you have to live in a ghetto.

OH WAIT. THE CENSORSHIP POLICE have determined that I can't use the word ghetto now because they're such politically correct IDIOTS that they want to ban facts.

Here's the short version of reality: Don't do things because they seem novel or ridiculous. Do things that make sense.

If you've been stuck on the internet so long that you can no longer make sense of anything, study the issue and the solution is self evident.

On the other hand, I love freedom of choice. Go ahead and do this if it makes even the slightest amount of sense to you.

If you don't do it then you're pretty much full of it, right?

I get it, we should pretend to give kudos to some kid who did some senseless thing and managed to make it work. That is stupidity. Just because you "can" do something, doesn't automatically make it sensible to do that.

There are many many many things I can do, which I have enough common sense to NOT do.

Have you heard of idiot savants? Studying something to the point where you lost sight of the bigger picture, is not a justification to pursue madness.

Compare successful people, are they spending their time putting mower engines in pickups? Show me anyone who ever made a profit, which is a sign it was something worth something to anyone else?

I am reminded why I don't spend much time on AT forums. They've gone to hell.

Sounded like he hit 3rd but he was going about 15mph. This thing wouldn't haul a bale of hay on flat ground let alone any kind of an incline. There is no powerband and no torque so as he shifts to higher gears it just bogs the engine. What a colossal waste of time and effort.

Some people would call shooting guns a waste of time and effort. I call them both hobbies.

Its still cool that he did it though. I like trucks that drive like trucks which obviously a 10 hp lawn mower motor won't quite drive a truck. Still don't need outragous hp in a truck, goofballs today want 600 hp in there truck to run around empty on pavement. My first truck ever was an 88 F250 with the inline 6 thing had great low end torque but no hp. Every one always complains how slow they are but I loved that truck I'll take a good old puller any day.

I want one of those older kei trucks from overseas there like 30 - 50 hp. Those things are sweet and built to work.

The 212 Predator is only rated at 6.5HP. I'm amazed that it can move, honestly.

Ohh man, did you see any of those Trailer Park Boys episdes where Bubbles got himself a microtruck?
Little green mitsubishi kei truck ..

Those things are crazy .... tiny little engines, yet you can stick almost half a ton in the back of most of them!

Just have to gear it low enough. You figure hp is named after horses, those guys are like what almost a ton and they can move themselves and then some at 1 hp. Without the orginal motor and a flat bed, I bet that little truck don't weigh that much at all.

I can't even remember to take before and after pics of my jobs, I'm always too gung ho to get the job going. I tried to get the new kid to remember but hes useless.

Didn't he call it the green machine for his green bastard beer or something? I saw it I wanted one of those trucks before bubbles got one. I was stoked when he showed up with it. There like $5000 once there here or you can take a bunch of risk and import them yourselves for like 2k total. In my area you can get them titled with historical plates if the local cops sign off for the DMV. Which hopefully they don't hold a grudge and let me, if I tell them its to advertise the business and get in the local parade.

Wow, sounds like you can save quite a bit of cash doing it the hard way!

Cops are supposed to help to support the local small business man... Not punish them! Maybe you might have fixed or installed something for some of them at some point in the past and maybe they might recognize you and sign off simply because they liked your work?
Otherwise, your bound to befriend them at some point even if just by accident.
