Tons of stuff not making sense here...

im not a lawyer, so idk how this shit works. but the judge looked at my shit, and then after i plead not guilty my lawyer said the da had to talk to us. so 2-3 hours later we talked to him and he told us what was up. btw i still dont have a copy of the police report since idk how to get a copy of it.

edit: it is a criminal charge, so why wouldn't i talk to the da?

edit 2: last time i had to go to court when i was accused of theft when i turned 19, i pled not-guilty and immediately after pleading not guilty the DA met with us in his office and said he was dismissing the charge...then we went back in front of the judge and the DA said charges are being dropped and I went home after paying the court fees. so it makes sense to me why the da would meet with us directly after

I guess the CSP officer who issued me the ticket, got a DUI last week. Which I guess means that any DUI's he has handed out end up getting throw out. So the charges against me have been dropped.

St Patricks Day was 3/17. The officer was arrested for DUI on 3/22.

Why would they "dismiss" any DUI charges he handed out 4 days earlier?? Do they believe he was driving around drunk for 4 days?

Scan a copy of the court document showing all charges dropped, or a copy of your desk appearance ticket showing Trooper David Dolan as the issuing officer, or your a liar.

its not like this is unheard of....it happens from time to time. if a cop gets busted doing something illegal it throws out the validity of his argument in court. how are they supposed to throw a cop on the stand whose had a dui and point the finger at me without getting laughed at?

If he was impaired when issuing the ticket, then it calls into question the validity of his statement. However the officer was NOT impaired when issuing the ticket, so anything that occurred after the fact should have no impact.

Ummmm, actually, no you cant. Your body weight and gender dictate 1 drink per hour is safe. Anything more is an automatic DUI in pretty much every state and probably Canada.

If the trooper that wrote him is the same trooper that was caught then I'd buy that it is being thrown out. Same type thing has happened at my agency. Someone gets caught doing something stupid and a bunch of their cases get thrown out. It kills you credibility and character. Without that, you don't have a career as a cop.

That trooper was an idiot. What in the hell would posses someone to drive drunk in a patrol car in uniform is completely beyond me, driving to the state training facility no less. What was his plans when he got there? Idiots like that give the rest of us a bad name.
