Like I said, I'll be very surprised if we don't hear an announcement about this game at E3.
I hate to say it and I hope I'm wrong, but dude you're kidding yourself. The game is dead. Accept it.
I for one am ready to accept that Duke Nukem Forever is dead, but not the name nor the franchise, it can still make money, just give another Duke Nukem project to another development team and it has potential. The "fun" that has been made around the Forever title over the past decade due to its delays and absence isn't due to a poor franchise, what I mean is that people made fun of it simply because it took that long for basically nothing to happen, the thing is the actual game was interesting, who did NOT have fun with Duke Nukem 3D?
Lots of people made fun of it (Forever) but it was mostly done in jest rather than in actual hate or desire to boycott the franchise if it would have ever been released or anything like that, real gamers and especially ol' school FPS fans all wanted that damn game to actually be released, but we all liked to make fun of it as well, without having any bad intentions behind the humor, the only ones who might have negatively interpreted that "fun" over the years could have been the 3D Realms team themselves, but even they I believe just went over it over the years, they just accepted it and it probably became part of the video gaming culture and history.
Heck, just play Serious Sam II and you'll understand what I mean, even other developers made fun of it.
