Duke Nukem Manhatten Project?

Seen it listed in a local flyer, is this the new Duke game?

No, it's a different project. A budget side-scroller. Supposed to be pretty good but I haven't caught any reviews yet.

No, it's a recreation of the old Dos game style, but in full 3d. Screenies looked nifty enough.

I got it. It's entertaining if you are a die-hard duke fan. Graphics are nice and it basically holds you over to whenver DNF comes out.

Thanks for the link richleader...I love that screenshot with Duke at the phone booth and the billboard of the old lady: "When it's time to put her away...Sunny Hills Rest Home" lol, gotta love the Duke games.

It's definetly a budget game, and definetly not what we've been waiting for. It's not horrible. The graphics actually kinda suck IMHO.

Well, they probably look pretty cool in motion, and I'm sure FSAA cleans them up a bit. I always loved the Blackthorne game and this looks sort of similar, though there's other budget titles I'd hit before this (Aquanox is $10 after rebate at compusa today).

AA wouldn't help at all... it's the low polygon count and low res textures that suck. Because it's 2d and can use high res, it really doesn't need AA at all.

Well, that's personal preference. I think FSAA helps things look more concrete, even at high rez.

Either way, its a cool little game, fun to run through when you're bored. Plus, the Duke Nukem lines are great. "mother f'n key cards!"
