You know what? That's not dumb at all, it's just not worded as well as it might be. Your thought and meaning were correct. I'm sure you've said much dumber things. I can't remember all the dumb things I've said recently, not even one, I'm so dumb.

Well, I discovered that this forum only lets you make a post so long.

What's really aggravating and annoying (yes that might be considered redundant) is when you click onto a tab with an Anandtech thread displayed and you compose a long well thought out post, hit [Submit Reply] and a message pops up saying that your connection was old and timed out and your message is lost in the primordial ooze of internet lost-speak! For that reason, I often compose in my editing program and copy/paste into Anandtech, unless I'm sure it will go through. An alternate way of insuring you won't have to rewrite your post is to copy it to your clipboard before hitting the button.

That a world without guns would be a better one. I'm so outnumbered here and apparently everywhere (well in the U.S., Somalia, Sudan, Afghanistan, ...)

I'm with you 100%. That's a pipe dream if you mean that literally, but making it illegal to own a gun unless you are rigorously vetted as law enforcement/security/military/carefully regulated game hunting ... world wide, wouldn't pan out immediately, would be problematical as hell in the short run, but in time, over a long period of time (I'm talking a generation or two) would improve things immensely. Most people have a hard time understanding this.

If you do mean that literally, a world with no guns, I wouldn't say that's impossible. However, it's in the realm of science fiction given where we are now. Maybe in 50-200 years it could be achieved.
