That a world without guns would be a better one. I'm so outnumbered here and apparently everywhere (well in the U.S., Somalia, Sudan, Afghanistan, ...)
I'm with you 100%. That's a pipe dream if you mean that literally, but making it illegal to own a gun unless you are rigorously vetted as law enforcement/security/military/carefully regulated game hunting ... world wide, wouldn't pan out immediately, would be problematical as hell in the short run, but in time, over a long period of time (I'm talking a generation or two) would improve things immensely. Most people have a hard time understanding this.
If you do mean that literally, a world with no guns, I wouldn't say that's impossible. However, it's in the realm of science fiction given where we are now. Maybe in 50-200 years it could be achieved.
