I don't know but AICN "preview" of the movies says it sucks pretty hard. BTW - The geek level at AICN is comparable to AnandTech (Just different type of geeks).
So the all its says is the D&D hardcore (eg geeks) didn't like the movie. But I am waiting for the official release and word of mouth before spending money on the movie.
I think it's Marlyn so there is no guarantee it's funny! I don't know if I will see it in the theatre or not, there's just too many other things I would like to see more.
I may go see the D&D movie, but I'm ALREADY in line for Final Fantasy The first trailer was jaw-dropping, the second one was so good I couldn't get my arms to move so I could manually pick up my jaw...
A quick clarification... The reveiw on AICN was not from an AICN regular.
Also, it was from a person who admittedly did not know anything about D&D, and did not care
This may or may not influence your opinion of his reveiw, but...
That trailer will make your eyeballs fall out of your sockets, roll across the desk to get closer to your monitor, climb on top of your key board (if you have never seen an eyeball trying to climb something... boy are you missing out)... And they won't return back to your head until you have played it at LEAST 47 times...
Ok... Just getting off of a 12 hour shift. Need sleep. Now.
