Duplicate Fan Header Pulse Output Signal?

Can a single fan header pulse signal output be duplicated to several mainboard fan headers without issue? I'm not buying a PWM controller - I just want to splice the pulse signal to all fan headers to quiet it down.

I need to eliminate 4 server chassis fans (or atleast add pots) but the BIOS needs to be satisfied by detecting the appropriate fan RPMs. It runs at over 70dB loud.

I read a post elsewhere about modifying the SDR firmware file to lower fans speeds (Intel S5000 PAL). It did not go in to detail but I am in favor of that option. I'm not exactly sure how the .SDR is opened and what is used to change the config.

Regarding modding the fan header PWM signal wiring to lower speeds, I found this info in the manual:

Two 4-pin fan headers are designated as processor cooling fans:
- CPU1 fan (J9J1)
- CPU2 fan (J5J1)

Four 6-pin fan headers are designated as hot-swap system fans:
- Hot-swap system fan 1 (J3H4)
- Hot-swap system fan 2 (J3H3)
- Hot-swap system fan 3 (J3H2)
- Hot-swap system fan 4 (J3H1)

Two 4-pin fan headers are designated as rear system fans:
- System fan 5 (J9B4)
- System fan 6 (J9B3)

So I have may have this all wrong. Would I be modifying the tach signal to satisfy the BMC so the machine doesn't beep or halt on boot rather than the PWM? The pulse would be an ouput signal from the board it appears rather than a pulse output from the fan.
